Epilogue

It was a warm night one which silent and peaceful. The wind blew in. Arnav stood near the french windows looking out at the darkness while his wife slept on the bed with their new born baby Arush . He had the most peaceful look on his face as he looked up at the moon. It had been 5 years to their marriage things had changed so much. A smirk came on his face when he thought of the past 5 years. He still remembered how Khushi and he confessed their love. All that drama that they did. He remembered how he had to pretend with Lavanaya to get her jealous and hows she reached with the children and tried to stop him from getting engaged. A chuckled escaped his throat. Since then the journey has been the most wonderful thing he has ever experienced.

Flash BAck

After they discovered their love they gathered the family together, Every one wondered why they had been suddenly called. Even Khushi's family arrived there. Arnav and Khushi held hands Khushi blushed furiously and Arnav smirked and then he went up to Shashi and said to him in a calm voice

Arnav: I have gathered every one over here because Khushi and I would like to make an announcement. (he looked at Shashi then sat new to him and said) Uncle I would like to ask Khushi's hand in marriage. I promise you that I will always love her and protect her and never let anything bad happen to her.

They heard loud gasps coming every one looked shocked. Slowly the room filled with smiles Khushi looked down blushing not able to face them. Shashi smirked and then went up to Khushi and asked her in a loving tone

Shashi: DO you want to marry him

Khushi looked down and blushed then she nodded Shashi broke into a smile. He looked at Arnav and then said

Shashi: You have my permission.

Arnav smiled back and so did Khushi. Ratna and Nani couldn't be more happier. they were thrilled that Khushi was going to be their daughter in law. Arnav explained how the kids helped get them together. Ratna was not surprised at them, They were Anjili's children her traits were in them. She would also usually play cupid to people.

Buaji and Gaima were happy that Khushi was settling down in life she had found a good life partner. Akash also confessed his love to Payal and their engagement got fixed as well. Shashi couldnt ask for more because both his daughter got married in the same house and they were good people. He was particularly fond of Arnav he knew Arnav was the perfect choice for his mad crazy but yet adorable daughter. 

Things looked great the celebrations started in full swing. Every news paper covered their wedding after all it was the wedding of The Great Arnav Singh Raizada. Their love story became known to every one and people smiled on how god brought these two individuals together to live their life. They only wished well for them and happiness in the coming years. 

The children had took Arnav and Khushi as their parents. Arnav in his wildest dreams didn't think he would ever get along with the children. His sister was right he needed to be more friendly to them only then he would understand them. He had Khushi to thank for that. She was the one who pushed him to it. Now he couldn't imagine life with out the 4 of them they were the most important thing to him. He promised to love them and protect them. Especially his little Aarti he had gotten so close to the little one. She was his angel his princess.

Flash back end 

After they got married they took off the next day for their honeymoon to Hawaii. Khushi had never been to a beach in her life. Arnav thought of this as a perfect option for their honeymoon. They went out Arnav convinced Khushi to wear short dresses and go out. He wanted her to try new things and also she looked mind blowing in those dresses he couldn't take his eyes off of her. They had sex every night the first night she lost her virginity too him was the most special one. He still remembers 

Flash Back 

Khushi: Arnavji I am scared what if it hurts

Arnav: Shh trust me it will hurt in the beginning but hold on to me tightly and you will love it. 

KHushi nodded and then he thrust into her pulling in and out and she yelled for him 

Kushi: Arnaji... oh oh Oh yeah 

Arnav made sure she enjoyed the experience to the fullest 

That night the two souls became one. 

Flash back ends 

When they came back from Hawaii they got loads of presents for the children. Khushi had spent half her honeymoon sopping for the kids then her. Arnav found it weird but none the less he knew how attached she was to them they were her babies. They were glad to be back. He couldn't believe 5 years passed. Annika was 20 now she had gone to New York to peruse her dream in fashion. How time flies He remembered how much he tried to stop her from going but his wife and the whole house hold had put their foot down saying it was for her education. He remembered the day they went to settle her in new york Khushi and he both went. He came back early for some business work but Khushi stayed there for 1 month settling her in. Anuj was now 17 years old, his naughty streak was still in him. But this time there was a twist he was such a ladies man. All the young girls in his class dies to go out with him. Anuj had a blast flirting with them. But he promised Khushi that he would never date just for fun he would find the right girl and then he would start dating. He couldn't refuse his Chotti ma could he. Aarti was now 10 years old. She was now president of the girls scout group. Every tuesday she would bake cookies with Khushi and they would sell them in the neighborhood. It was a mother daughter team. Khushi was more than happy to participate with Aarti in it. Here is the best part to make Aarti win the competition  he would buy off half the cookies, and he would not buy them himself he would make his staff buy it. If Khushi found out that he bought of all them she would kill him. She wanted to play fair and he wanted to just see a smile on both his favorite women's faces. 

Things were looking so good. Until one fine day the sad news of Nani passing away came. The family was devastated and depressed. Khushi always looked up to her and repeated her. Before she died she told Khushi that she would want her Chottey and her to have a baby. Khushi obeyed her within a few months they got the news that she was pregnant. Annika flew down from New york to help Khushi through the pregnancy. Arnav made sure that he always came home early so he could spend enough time with her. Khushi was the center of attention. Her every wish was fulfilled even if they were impossible. 

Time passed by and finally her dew date came. which was yesterday. They had such a hectic night Khushi was crying helplessly as Akash drove the car in full speed to the hospital. Arnav was sitting at the back with Khushi consoling her. Her sister payal and her daughter nishita sat in in front, The 3 kids sat behind trying to make her laugh. when they reached they took her to the delivery room and she was told by the doctor to push. Arnav held her hand and whispered sweet nothings in her ear. Encouraging her to push. FInally when she pushed her last they heard the baby crying and the doctor announced it was boy. The couple smiled in unison. They handed her the baby Arnav kissed Khushi looking at his son. He looked just like him. Ratna and the whole family rejoiced. They all took turns holding him Arnav and Khushi chuckled seeing their son being the center of attraction. He was so cute. He had eyes like Arnavs. A nose like Khushi's and a beautiful smile. But his personality was just like Arnav's grumpy and only wanting his mother and father. 

Finally they came home they had an exhausting night finally little Arush fell asleep when his mother picked him up and placed him on the bed. Thats when Arnav woke up and went to the windows and remembered his amazing 5 years. 

Now he looked up at the sky a smile on his face. The first star that he saw shone brightly as ever. He said looking at the star remembering his sister 

Arnav: Thank You for everything.

The star shone brightly. Khushi would stretched her hand on the bed looking for her husband found it empty she woke up to find him standing at the windows. She placed two pillows on either side of baby Arush so he doesn't fall and then headed over to her husband. She hugged him from behind and rested her head on his back. He felt her and then pulled her in front and hugged her from behind and then she asked him in a soft voice. 

Khushi: Arnavji what happened are you not sleepy 

Arnav: I just wanted to watch the stars. 

Khushi: Are you missing DI again 

Arnav: Yeah I am. (he smiled and the kissed her forehead) I was just remembering what all we have gone through since the past 5 years. 

Khushi: (smiled) Yeah these 5 years have been the best ever.

Arnav: Thanks Khushi for what you did to me. With out you I dont know how I would have managed 

Khsuhi: (hugged him tightly and said) I should thank you, YOu gave me so much. 3 wonderful nieces and nephew. 1 big happy family so much love that it could last for a life time and now 1 adorable little son. Arnavji I couldn't have asked for more. Devi maya has really blessed us 

Arnav smiled back at her kissed her forehead and took her into a big hug. They stayed that way for a while until their hug broke with the sound of their baby crying Both chuckled and the Arnav said 

Arnav: Its your turn 

Khushi: (slapped him playfully) No Arnavji its yours. Last time I picked him up 

Arnav: He only keeps quite with you, He loves his mother a lot 

Khushi: (widened her eyes and said) He loves his father too you know. 

Arnav: (rolled his eyes but then said) Ok lets both cuddle him up. 

KHushi: (smiled back) That sounds perfect 

They headed to the bed Arnav got in from his side and Khushi got in from hers. She placed her hand on baby Arush and Arnav wrapped his hands around her Arush and her pulling them into a hug protecting them and making them feel warm. Arush stopped crying feeling his parents near him. 

Seeing the loving family all cuddled up into a nice warm bundle the stars slowly started to appear in the night sky glowing feeling happy for the match that was made in heaven. 

Chapter 26

It was the children they slowly walked in Arnav and khushi smiled at held hands and then Arnav said
Arnav: you guys acted well, i am impressed
Annika: (smiling) it was all khushi didi's idea though
Arnav: yeah i know only she can come up with such a filmy plan
Khushi hit him on the chest and then Aarti said
Aarti: btw mamma and didi congratulations finally you two said i love you too each other
Arnav picked her up in his arms and then said 2 her with a smile
Arnav: yeah and its all thanks to you, to all of you with out you khushi and i would have not realized our feelings for each other.
Anuj: no worries mamma any time (he smiled)
Khushi: Guys but i must say you all were very brave today. I didnt know u all thought of me as a mother and Arnavji as a father
Aarti: didi we have only you two in this world and we know that mama has only sent you to us and we always knew mamma loved so alot.
Anuj: if it wasnt for you 2 we wouldnt have any family
Annika: yeah We love you to as much as we love mama. Mamma i hope ist ok we called you dad
Arnav: (caressed her face and said) its more than ok, You three are not just my responsibility but more like my children and i would be more than happy if u call me Dad
Anuj : and didi is it ok if we call you CM
KHushi: CM ?? (whats that)
Aarti: chotto mama, we dont want to feel like we forgot our real mama but at the same time we love you like a mother so we thought CM is a good name (she said cutely)
Arnav: Great so from now on Khushi is CM, but guys you cant call me CD ok that would just be weird i mean that would just be funny
Khushi: (slapped him and said with a smile) Off coarse you can call me what you like i love you like my own babies all of you.
She pulled them all into a hug, Arnav came in to. They felt so complete the 5 of them that Arnav was so sure that this was the work of his sister who was siting up in heaven. He mentally thanked her.

Some time later they ate some dinner, and all left for home. It was around 10 pm when they reached They met Nani and Ratna, the children were in their room Khushi had also gone to her room to change. When she finished she headed down to the kitchen for some water. Everyone else had gone to sleep. She was in the kitchen when she felt to strong hands clasp around her waist a smile came on her face as she felt him and she said with a soft voice
Khushi: Arnavji
Arnav nuzzled his face in her shoulders and she shut his eyes taking in her lavender smell. Khushi could feel his scrunch stubble against her neck which was tickling her
Khushi: Arnavji leave me, what if some one comes
Arnav: no way i am not leaving you, i just got you
Khushi blushed at him and then said
Khushi: but what if auntiji or naniji walks in, they wouldnt like it at all
Arnav: they are all sleeping Khushi relax nothing is going to happen
Khushi: (blushing she said) by the way i miss you too
Arnav: (raising his eye brows he said)really how much
Khushi:(smiling) alot
Arnav: good tonight i am not going to let you go any where, i want to spend some time with u
Khushi: what do you mean, how will we spend time arnavji Aarti is in your room
Arnav: we will be in the pool side
Khushi: but...
she was interrupted with a cough sound they looked towards the door, Aarti was standing there with a cute smile she said
Aarti: (innocently) Dont worry i wont disturb you...
Khushi: (smiled at her and said) how come your still out of bed
Aarti: sorry Cm i just want water
Khushi gave her the glass of water and then Arnav said
Arnav: come on Aarti you should sleep baby its late (he picked her up in his arms)
Aarti: dont worry about me daddy i am fine you just take care of your princess
Arnav: what the, princess (he looked at her confused)
Aarti: i mean CM, Your her prince and she is your princess
Khushi blushed furiously while Arnav gave her naughty smiles

After some time he messaged her to come to his room Aarti was asleep. Khushi slipped into his room. He opened the door and she hugged him and he said
Arnav: come with me
Khushi: where
Arnav: just come
he took her to the pool side and Khushi was amazed a smile came on her face as she saw the place lit up with candles and decorated with flowers she turned and looked at him and asked
Khushi: you did this
Arnav smirked and nodded
Khushi: Arnavji you didnt have to
Arnav: i wanted to, for you for us
Khushi: (blushed furiously and then said) I love you
Arnav: (kissed her fore head and said) i know i love you 2
They sat along the pool side and talked all night both cuddling in each others arms Khushi was on his lap Arnav couldnt have felt more at peace to have her in his arms safe and protected from the whole world

Chapter 25

There was silence no one spoke a word the manager was about to say something when Arnav said in an angry tone
Arnav: leave us alone and make sure no one disturbs us. I have to talk to my wife in private
The manager nodded and scurried off from there. Khushi looked at him tensed about whats going to happen next Annika broke the silence and said
Annika: we should go you to need to talk
The 3 kids were about to leave when Arnav said in a shout
Arnav: Stop
They stopped in their spot and turne around Khushi was shit scared she knew she was going to get fired now and that to badly and so were the kids. But she didnt want that so she quickly said
Khushi: Arnavji its not the childrens fault its mine this was my idea dont shout at them please (she pleaded)
Arnav didnt bother to listen he walked past her kneeled down and softly said
Arnav: Thank you
The children looked at him shocked they to thought that they were going to get yelled at but instead he was thanking them. Then Arnav said
Arnav: I will discuss this with all later go (he said in a stern voice)
the children went off understanding what he meant. Then he came back to khushi and she said
Khushi: Arnavji why did u tell them, its not their fault its mine, this was my plan i am the one who came up with this idea
Arnav: (smirking and raising his eye brows he said) Really so this was ur plan to come here and sabatage my relationship with La
Khushi: yeah it was the children only helped me please dont shout at them (she said worried)
they are innocent. It was my plan to come here and tell La that you were my husband so she stays away from you (she said in a worried tone in one breath)
Arnav: (smirking all the way he said) Really interesting and why did you do that
Khushi: because i couldnt stand the fact that you were going to marry her (she said with out realizing, and when she realized she looked down blushing)
Arnav: (enjoying her discomfort said) You were jealous weren't you
Khushi: (hesitated and looked down and said) uhh uh... i uh
Arnav in a swift moment caught her by the waist and then pulled her towards him like he always did with full passion her bosoms rested on his chest and she shut her eyes as their hearts beated due to the close proximity she could feel his breath over her face. Arnav seem to enjoy her reaction in full swing and then he said in his husky voice
Arnav: So why were you jealous
Khushi: (trying to divert his mind she said) I am not jealous (she said with her nose in the air)
Arnav: (smirking) Oh really, tell me something Khushi if i were to say touch La like this what would you do
He slowly raised his hand to her neck and slightly rubbed it with his thumb she shut her eyes, he went up higher stroking her neck creating a tickling sensation for her. he repeated himself and said
Arnav: tell me what would you do if i touched her like this
Khushi: (in a trance said) i would kill her and then i would kill you
Arnav: (raising his eye brows he said) really why (he stopped stroking her)
Khushi: (opened her eyes and then said) because i would
Arnav: why what is it to you if i do this with her
Khushi: excuse me off coarse it means everything to me (she said angrily)
Arnav: Really why ??  what difference it makes to you (he pulled her closer) why does it make a difference to you Khushi
Khushi: (unable to control it her heart started to beat faster and faster she said) I love you Arnavji thats why
And that was it the three magical words his heart was dying to hear. She looked into his eyes and he looked into hers and in a swift moment he crashed his lips on hers, and it began they kissed Khushi was in a different dimension altogether she shut her eyes, and opened her mouth he gained entry he let his tongue in and began to twirl it around hers they had an intense lip lock with each other and slolwy when the time was right he let go of her mouth. Khushi started to breath faster and faster catching her breath her eyes were shut she slowly opened them and looked up at him. He was looking down at her observing her reactions. she started to blush he smirked and then he said
Arnav: Khushi
Khushi continued to look down not able to meet his eyes at this point. he lifted her face with his index finger and then said in a deep voice
Arnav: i love you too (he said with a smile on his face)
She was shocked he had confessed they had confessed they finally told each other that they loved each other Khushi smiled back at him and in a split second she jumped into his arms and hugged him tightly. he took her in and held tight as she rested her head on his chest he cuddled her tightly. A while later they broke from the hug and looked into each other eyes with a smile until Arnav said
Arnav: (pressed her nose and then said) By the way you are such a tigress you know that its kind of hot
Khushi blushed looking down remembering how she yelled at La and then she realized and said
Khushi: but Arnavji how could you
Arnav: how could i what
Khushi: How could you, you were going to marry La, if i hadnt come on time then what would have happened (she turned in anger)
Arnav: (he turned her around and then said) Nothing would have happened, i was not going to marry her and all this was all my plan
Khushi: (shocked she asked) Your plan what do you mean
Arnav: i knew the only way to make you confess was if i made u jealous and so i worked a plan. I played along with La's silly thing of marriage. So you would feel like i am coming here 2 discuss the wedding . I knew the kids would come and tell you and would make you admit you love me. All i had to do was just play along and in this plan of mine Aarti helped me. She called me and told me you were coming here, so i expected you i just didnt expect you to do all this
Khushi: (looked at him shocked) You mean you knew all along that i loved you
Arnav: from the start
Khushi: (She hit him and then said in aa cute angry voice) How could you do u know how miserable i was.
Arnav: (chuckling he said) calm down my tigress i had to get you to admit it first
Khushi: Oh Arnavji (she hugged him back and rested her head on his chest and then he said)
Arnav: By the way you called me your husband
Khushi: (blushed and said) i had too how else would have gotten that witch away from you
Arnav: (chuckled) And said come here (he pulled her into a hug and then she said)
Khushi: I hope you didnt mind i called you that
Arnav: Are you kidding me off coarse not i loved, i was shocked though but truth to be told i loved it i would never consider any one as my wife but you
Khushi: really (she asked softly with a twinkle in her eye)
Arnav: yeah your my love and i want you to be my wife to
Khushi: OH Arnavji, i dont know what to say (she said shyily)
Arnav: Say yes
Khushi: (blushed and said in a soft voice) yes
They were hugging each other when they heard a small cough both popped their heads out to look

Chapter 24

It was now 8pm and Arnav walked into Golden Dragon to meet La and her parents. The man looked calm and composed and actually tension free for some reason. but that was only from the outside from the inside he was going through a world wind of emotions and the tornado within him was driving him crazy, but then he controlled his emotions so it looks like he is carefree. Th great Arnav Singh Raizada by now had learned to control his emotions in front of the world. As he walked in he met a tall dark man who was middle aged and a woman decked up in a dress and standing besides them was La who had the biggest smile on her face. Arnav had booked the garden view table and had told the manager that he want absolute privacy so they can discuss the future in peace.
Mr Kayshap: So this is the Great Arnav Singh Raizada (he put his hand out with a smile and said) I am Dinesh La's father
Arnav: (shook his hand and then said) Hello Sir
Dinesh: please call me Dinesh. (then he turned to the woman on his left and introduced) This is Trishna my wife
Arnav: hello
Trishna: Hello son, (she turned to La and said with a smile) I must say La he is very handsome
La blushed. They sat down at the table and began discussing.

Meanwhile back home Khushi had made up her mind she was going to get her love and she is going to get him at any cost no witch is even going to come in the way. She was determined to get her man back. As she looped her Sari on her waist. The children came in all ready and then Khushi asked
Khushi: kids you know what to do
They all nodded and then Annika said
Annika: but didi don't you think this is filmy
Khushi: it is, but its the only way i can keep that witch away from him.
Anuj: i am excited actually lets do this didi
Aarti: yeah me 2
They all left from home to the Golden Dragon. Khushi let out a silent pray to Devi maya saying
Khushi: Hey Devi maya i don't know if what i am doing is correct or not but my heart is telling me that i must do something to stop this. I really love him and i want him to be my future husband he is my love and i don't know how and when this happened but now he is my life my everything. Please devi maya take my side today and help me
As she opened her eyes they reached the place and all of them got out of the car, Anuj said
Anuj: your ready didi
She nodded her heart was thumping they walked into the hotel and then the manager asked
Manager: mam you have a reservation
Khushi: no i don't
Managaer: ok sorry man we have no tables free at this moment
Khushi: sir i am not here for a table my husband is in i am here to meet him
Manager: Your husband (shocked)
Khushi: yes Arnav Singh Raizada is my husband he is here only right
Manager: (confused nodded) yes he is but he is in a meeting and he has been asked not to be disturbed
Khushi: oh don't worry i won't disturb him. My children and i want to meet him (she walked in and the children followed her)
Manager: (followed her as well and tried to stop her by saying) Stop madam please Stop
Khushi and the kids barged in and walked to the garden table to see La, her parents and Arnav sitting and talking as they walked in. They heard the manager all of them looked towards Khushi and the kids Arnav was shocked to see them there she looked so pretty she had anger on her face her nose was red her eyes were slightly dilated, her lips were as plump as ever and she looked beautiful in that red backless sari that she wore. Arnav's heart started to beat as he saw her. Along with her were the kids who stood by her in full support. La looked angry and her parents looked confused. The manager stood behind Khushi. Arnav and Khushi had an eye lock and La broke the trance and then said in an irritated voice
La: what is she doing here
Arnav looked back at her blank not knowing what to answer La got up and walked towards Khushi and said in a stern voice
LA: what do you want can't you see ASR is in an important meeting
Khushi: (who was ready to kill her said in an angry voice) Yes i know he is in a meeting and what kind of meeting this is
La: (smirked) what do you know
Khushi: that he is here to discuss about the marriage with your parents
LA: (smirked) exactly and you are here disturbing us
Khushi: no i am not here for you i am here for him  Move aside (she pushed La who went flying the other way)
She walked towards Arnav who was just shocked. She stood in front of him and looked at him with pleading eyes and said in a dramatic voice
Khushi: Swami.... what have i done to deserve this
Arnav: What the
KHushi: don't you What the me swami.
Arnav: Khushi what the hell is wrong with you and who is swami (he asked in a zapped voice)
Khushi: (she came and kneeled down next to him and started o yell and say) what is this, has our relationship come to such a state where you are asking me who is swami (she passed and said) you are swami, you are my swami you are my husband she kneeled down and pretended to cry)
Arnav:(didn't know what to say did she just call him her husband, he had to admit it felt nice, anyway getting back to the point. He looked up at La and her parents who were waiting for an explanation. Finally he got up and made her get up with him. She had fake tears in her eyes and she looked adorable. but he had to ask
Arnav: Khushi what the hell is going
KHushi: (looked behind and called out to the kids and said) Children see this your father has forgot that we are married he is not even acknowledging me. what has happened hey devi maya what is this i forgot to put salt in your food and because of that your punishing me and bringing this other girl as your wife. (she cried)
The children came ahead to Arnav and Khushi and then Aarti said
Aarti: its ok mama don't cry we are with you we love you.
Annika: yeah mama may be daddy has stopped loving you but we will always love you
they all hugged Khushi and she hugged them back and Arnav was still trying to make sense of what is going on. La had enough she came forward and then said
La: ASR what is going on (she said annoyed)
Arnav: (confused said) La i don't know myself
Khushi: (who was now irritated pulled Arnav behind her and said) I will tell you whats going, whats going on is that you are trying to steal my husband away from me. (she yelled)
La: (irritated) What rubbish ASR is not your husband and you are not his wife and these are not your kids
Khsuhi: how can you be so sure of it do you have any proof that he is not my husband can you give me a legal document stating that i am lying
LA looked blank and Khushi and Arnav seemed to be quietly enjoying Khushi shouting at La, God she was such a cute little tigress
Khushi: these are my children and that man there is my husband and you are a lying cheating swanky witch who is here to take away my husband and family from me
La was going to answer when Dinesh stopped her and said
Dinesh: Arnav is this true what she is saying is she your wife and are those your children
La: no they aren't (she said to Dinesh) Those brats are Arnav's sisters children this girl is a middle class thief, who works as their governors. The truth is that these brats and this bitch is up to no good. (she accused Khushi)
Khushi looked down a bit scared. Annika said in anger
Annika: don't you dare say anything about her, Yes we are his sisters children but the truth is that after our mother left us we have always considered Arnav mamma as our father and khushi didi as our mother. We love them both that much
Anuj: yeah didi is right they mean the world to us and we will never accept you as part of the family we hate you
Aartii: Our mama is hear to stop our father from making a mistake of marrying a witch like you.
La had enough she was now at her boiling point and she was really angry with what the children just said. In a spur of a moment she yelled in anger
La: how dare you, talk to me like that
she raised her hand and was about to slap Aarti, who caught hold of Khushi' s waist tightly all the children hid in Khushi's arms and she shut her eyes really scared, La was going to slap her when a big hand stopped her midway, he left her hand Khushi and the children slowly opened her eyes, shocked to see Arnav standing in front of them protecting them. La was shocked and so were her parents Arnav was now angry. He was pissed and the Asr in him was taking over
Arnav: how dare you (he screamed in anger)
La: (shocked) ASR
Arnav: how dare you raise your hand on my children like this
LA: ASR did you not see the way they spoke to me
Arnav: yes i did, i saw exactly what happened. You called them brats
LA: Because they are, they are ill-mannered and spoiled children and i swear the fist thing i do when we get married is throw them in boarding school (she yelled in frustration)
Arnav: You know what the funny thing is that you think i will still get married to you, i will never marry a girl who does not love those children like her own.
Dinesh: (Angry) ASR now your insulting me and my daughter
Arnav: no Mr Kashyap your daughter is insulting my children and my wife (he yelled in anger, Khushi was shocked and happy he took their side and he called her his wife)
Trishna: (interrupting) Your wife... SO its true she is your wife (she pointed at Khushi who stood behind Arnav)
Arnav: I have had enough i don't owe any one any explanation on what she is to me, the only reason why i was here was to tell you and your daughter that i don't want to marry her
On hearing that every one was shocked especially Khushi who was now totally confused but chose to stay quite
La: what do you mean ASR, you were the one who said yes didnt you
Arnav: no i never said yes i never said anything to you when you asked me, all i did was nodded and you took that as a yes. I tried to tell you that day but you went running down to tell every one and i got stuck in the mess. Today i was here to only tell you that i would not marry you
Dinesh: (angry he looked at La and said) I can not stand here and take this insult on my daughter come on La we are leaving
he held her hand and La and her family walked out of the restaurant in anger leaving a shocked Khushi and angry ASR with the children.

Chapter 23

Khushi ran into her room and shut the door tightly as she rested against it and fell on the floor. Tears rolling down her eyes she looked like she has been through so much. SHe shut her eyes remembering what Arnav had asked her. How could she tell him what she was thinking. How could she tell him what her heart wanted. How could she tell him that she wanted to strangle La to death. and that she was not happy at all with the engagement. how could she be happy she loved him. She sat on the floor not knowing what to do. how was she to deal with this matter.
Khsuhi: hey devi maya what have you put me into how do i get out off this mess help me and guide me tell me what i should do. I can't stand it i gave him my heart and now its hard to take it back i can't do it any more and if he keeps pulling me close like this how will i survive (she cried and asked herself)

Meanwhile Arnav was walking up and down all muddled up and irritated about what happened a few seconds ago. the kids walked in to see him all angry and annoyed and then Aarti asked
Aarti: mamma what happened how did it go??
Arnav: (looked up at her) horrible
Annika: dont tell me you yelled at her again (she said irritated)
Arnav: i tried not to, i tried to tell her i loved her but she never listened she just started crying what was i to do (he said more annoyed)
Anuj: oh mamma Aarti is right you are such a beast (he said stating the obvious)
Arnav: (rolling his eyes he said) i am a beast oh really tell me what was i suppose 2 do (he said annoyed)
Aarti: but mamma you shouldnt have shouted at her. Oh god now what will we do
Arnav: (took a deep breath and said) nothing we are going to do nothing
Annika: (confused) what do you mean
Arnav: i am going to get engaged 2 La
All 3 of them: (screamed) WHAT!!!!
Annika: but you love khushi didi so why are you doing this
Arnav: relax
Aarti: mamma how can we relax you cant marry that witch no way, you love didi (she yelled) you cant give up like this
Arnav: (took a deep breath he knelled down and rested his hands on his shoulders and said) trust me i know what i am doing. At 8 i am going to meet La's parents to fix the date
Saying that he walked out of the room all cool and chilled out, leaving the kids absolutely shocked and confused.
As the day passed by a depressed Khushi tried to get herself together and the kids tried to figure out what they need to do to talk some sense into their mamma who was acting crazy at this point.
Annika: what is wrong with him, he loves khushi didi and wants to marry that witch.
Anuj: mamma has lost it i think some screw is loose in her brain
Aarti: didi there is only one person who can save this
Aanika: who
Aarti: khushi didi, we have to talk to her come on
She ran from the room and went towards Khushi's room to knock on the door the other two followed. Khushi opened the door and saw them out she wiped her tears off and said with a smile
Khushi: hi kids
Aarti: hi didi can we come in please
Khushi: sure (she moved and they came in and sat on the bed)
All three of them looked at each other not knowing how to start the conversation when Aarti said
Aarti: didi you know what i heard
Khushi: What
Aarti: its about mamma
Khushi' eyes opened wide and her heart skipped a beat she looked at Aarti.
Annika: tell us Aarti what did u hear
Aarti: i cant its a secrete you know
Anuj: oh come on little sis tell us what secrete
Khushi: yeah Aarti tell us what happened (she said softly wanting to know)
Aarti: (smiled and then said) ok but promise ok you wont tell any one
They all nodded and then Aarti said
Aarti: Arnav mamma is going to meet that witches parents today i heard you know to fix the date for the engagement
they all looked at each other and then at khushi who was now in total tears trying hard to control herself from crying then Aarti said
Aarti: yeah you know i heard that he will propose to her also with a ring and all like a prince
Annika: to that witch
Anuj: yeah to that witch
Khushi quietly listened
Annika: oh how could mamma do that i heard he loves someone else you know (she played along)
Khushi: (on hearing that was shocked her heart started to beat and then she said) what he loves some one else, who does he love
All three of them smiled at her reaction and then Anuj said
Anuj: yeah i heard the same you know he loves that girl more than anything.
Khuahi: but  who is the girl?
Aarti: (ignoring) i heard she has nice big round eyes and a small red nose and she loves to eat sweets
Annika: yeah she is very pretty i heard that too
Khushi: who is that girl guys tell me also na (she was dying to know)
they all smiled and then Aarti said
Aarti: didi but why do you want to know i mean who cares who that girl is.
Khushi: (screamed out) I CARE
Anuj: but why
Khushi: (hesitated and then said) because uhm, (then she quickly changed the subject and then said) that not the point if he loves this girl so much why is he marrying La
Annika: god knows we asked him but he didnt answer
Aarti: yeah i dont understand i think he tried to tell her but she never understood, poor girl
Khushi had a flash back of the moment that they just had in the morning when he held her and asked her what she thought and what she felt about him, but she didnt answer instead she tried to free herself and ran away crying. her heart started to beat and then she realized he loved her to all the flash back came in her head the time when he would pull her up close to him. the way he kissed her and she kissed him on the lips the closeness. she had the hint and then she remembered that Aarti just said that  the girl he loved had big eyes a small nose and loved sweets. A smile appeared on her face, but she straighten herself and then took a deep breath her heart pounding and again she asked
Khushi: who is the girl that he loves the most
Aarti: (understood and said with a smile) You
Khushi let out a soft chuckle happiness evident on her face as her soft smile grew bigger he heart beat and she blushed turning crimson red.
Khushi: does he really love me
Annika: more than anything in this world
Khushi: but if so then why is he marrying la
Anuj: donno didi that even we cant understand
Aarti: (climbed up on the bed and then held khushi by the shoulders and said) dont worry didi we can stop him. there is still time
Khushi: (looked at her and then said) no we cant, its his choice to get married to her how can i stop him. he loves me but wants to marry her he must have a reason (she said sadly)
Annika: we can let this happen didi
Aarti: didi if you love him, you have to go and get him, this is you last chance
Anuj: she is right you should get him and tell him how you feel
Khushi again looked at all of them she knew they were right she had to get Arnav back if he loved her then he has to marry her because she loves him too, and she can not stand the fact that Arnav is going to marry that witch, she had made up her mind she had to get her man back at any cost he belonged only to her. 

Chapter 22

As dawn approached Arnav was up and ready. The man felt fresh alive and excitement running through his vanes. As he made his way to the bathroom to brush his 5 year old niece woke up and rubbed her eyes. Sitting on the bed she looked around for him. The bathroom door clicked open and he came out
Aarti: mamma what are we going to do
Arnav: (came by the bed and sat next to her caressing her face he said) Don't worry i am figuring it out
Aarti: but we better do it fast otherwise it will be too late
Arnav nodded and Aarti went down he to came along with her to the breakfast table
Khushi was trying to control her self she was nervous to face Arnav after this whole incident. What would she tell him how would she react and most importantly she had to make sure she did not land up crying in front of him. Taking a deep breath she said
Khushi: (to herself) Hey Devi maya save me from this lead governor please
Saying this she went out of the kitchen with a jug of juice in her hand. Arnav was at the table as soon as she came out his eyes were on his princess. She beautiful her hair flying in the wind. She was wearing a blue anarkali. But wait what was that there was worry on her face. He scrunched his eye brows up wondering why she was worried and then it struck him, she was so jealous. She looked rather cute. Arnav decided to stir up some fun and so he said
Arnav: so ma did la call you up to discuss the arrangement of the engagement
Khushi lifted her face to Arnav and looked at him with the most cutest expressions of sadness. she took a deep breath and he noticed a smirk on his face.
Ratna: no she hasn't called but i think she will
Arnav: ok
Ratna: Khushi betiya will you help in the engagement preparations
Khushi: (looked baffled and then said) yeah... uh sure (she nodded with more sadness, while Arnav smirked)
Breakfast finished and every one went to do their daily work, Arnav was at home today. Aarti was in his room lying on the bed in thinking position of how to get Khushi back, while Arnav walked up and down. Annika and Anuj entered
Annika: mamma
Arnav looked towards the door and Annika and Anuj came in
Annika: what are join got do, did u not see Khushi didi
Arnav: What The
Anuj: don't what the us,we are worried too
Arnav: don't tell me you two are also involved (he looked at Aarti confused)
Aarti: what i needed help, i am only 5 years old mamma i couldn't do it myself
Arnav rolled his eyes and then Annika said
Annika: poor didi she is so sad, she was so upset when she heard the engagement news oh mamma we have to do something
Arnav: yeah i know she looked sad and honestly i can't seem to see that (he said a bit upset)
Khushi was looking all over the house for the kids hoping she would get her mind off things when she came to Arnav's room she found them all there. She took a deep breath and knocked on the door
They all looked towards the door, Arnav took a closer look at her and then Aarti said
Aarti: didi how come your are here
Khushi: (trying to control her sadness she said) uh i came looking for you all
Annika hinted to the other two kids that they should leave and then Annika said
Annika: Didi we are coming i have to do my home work
Khushi nodded and then the kids were leaving she was going to do behind them when Arnav said
Arnav: Khushi
She looked behind he gave a cute look the kids left quickly and then Arnav said
Arnav: wait
Khushi: what happened (she asked looking down)
Arnav: (was in a trance but he asked) Are you ok
Khushi: (pretended) YEah i am why are you asking
He nodded knowing she was lying and then She said
Arnav: Khushi
Khushi: hmm
Arnav went towards her and then in a swift second he pulled her towards him she came on his chest and started to breath faster he said in a husky voice
Arnav: why do u look sad
KHushi: (tried to control the havoc that his breath was creating on her)  I am fine Arnavji, in fact i am happy your getting engaged (she pretend to shield her emotions)
Arnav: (raised his eye brows on her attempt) really then why is there sadness on your face
Khushi: (she took a deep breath and then said) no no there is no sadness why would i be sad i am happy, the children are happy that your getting engaged to La
Arnav: thats not true
he pulled her closer to him and she was at a stage where she could feel his heart beat and his breath over her, Khushi was startled what was he trying to say, does he know what she feels she sucked her breath in fear
Khushi: (she asked softly) what do you mean
Arnav: the kids aren't happy
Khushi: (let out a sigh of relief) oh
there was a small pause between them and then Khushi said
Khsuhi: (trying to let go she said) Arnavji leave me, you should not be holding like this
Arnav: (smirked at her and then asked) why
Khushi: because your engaged thats why what will every one think, please leave me
Arnav: I don't care what every one thinks, what do you think (he asked her trying to control his desire)
Khushi: (heart was beating heavily she had a lump in her throat, all she managed to say was ) hmm (in a scared voice)
Arnav: Tell me Khushi what are you thinking
KHushi: (still lost she didn't know what to answer) please leave me
Arnav: tell me what you think
KHushi: Arnavji please what difference does it make what i think (she pleaded)
Arnav: it does make a difference now tell me what you think
Khsuhi: (trying to free herself) LEave me please just leave me
Arnav: not until u answer me (he said in crude tone)
Khushi: (struggling to free herself) Arnavji
Arnav: (puling her closer) Khushi
Khushi: (couldn't take it any more she screamed) leave me thats what i think ok (she yelled at him)
Arnav was in shock he slowly let go off her she moved away and tears dropped from her eyes as she looked at him with all anger and sadness.
Arnav: (softened up and said in a soft voice) Khushi (he tried to come close)
But she ran. She ran out of the room crying away leaving Arnav in total shock.

Chapter 21

La and he again got back to work he was looking at files he was trying to concentrate on work but his mind kept fluttering back to her to the way she felt his heart and shut her eyes , it felt so nice to have her hand over his heart. he never understood the value of the heart until today when she touched him for a few seconds he felt so real so complete so alive. All in one second in my breath.

Arnav could not understand how one girl who he barely knew had suddenly become his reason for being complete. how is that even possible that her one touch can cause so much of an effect on him. Lavanya was too busy blabbering some nonsense which Arnav couldn't be even bothered by the only thing on his mind was Khushi, Khushi Kumari Gupta.

La: so ASR my parents are in town

Arnav: hmm

La:ASR are you listening to me

Arnav: (looking at the files) ya La i am

La: so i was thinking something

Arnaav: hmm

La: i was thinking that my parents should meet your mom

Arnav: hmm

La: you know my parents were saying we should get engaged what do u think

Arnav: hmm

La smiled not understand that Arnav wasnt listening to a word she turned around and hugged him Arnav was taken in a surprise as she ran down. Arnav was sitting there wondering what happened. when he saw Hp coming into his room

Hp: bhaya mamji has called you down

he nodded and shut his lap top wondering what hell could have been caused now. As he walked down he saw the whole family looking at him in shock. Arnav wondered what was the matter and had not a clue next to his mother stood La with the biggest smile ever

Khushi who was in the kitchen slowly came and stood next to the door hiding behind Arnav noticed it. As he reached down Nani looked annoyed at him and Ratna came forward

Ratna: Chottey is it true what La said

La: (in excitement said) yes off course its true (she came and held his hand and said with a smile) we want to get engaged

As soon as arnav heard these words he was shocked beyond words he didnt know what to even say. He didnt want to get engaged to La. the guy was totally blank his eye fixed on one person only when he saw her control her tears trying not to cry. Arnav stood there blank not knowing what was even going on.  Ratna came forward and hugged him and then said

Ratna: i am happy chottey, i know she is not teh girl i had hoped for but you love her alot and thats why i am accepting her (she turned to la and said) welcome to the family (la hugged her)

Akash hugged Arnav who was still very blank he couldnt say a word the only thing in front of him was Khushi and her tears. He was unable to see it. he had the biggest lump in his throat. the kids looked at him and then at khushi not knowing what to do. She couldnt take it any more she just ran from there Arnav was surrounded by people he was trying to go to her but couldnt some one or the other coming to congratulate him.

It was after dinner everyone left to go to their rooms and were tired after the small feast the driver dropped la home. Arnav was in his room walking up and down. Khushi was in the kitchen upset over the fact that Arnav had said yes to lavanya things were serious now. She just couldnt seem to control her tears anymore.

Khushi: khushi stop crying. (she wiped her tears) stop it how can you cry. you know he is not yours then why are you so sad that he is marrying some one else. (she spoke to herself) yes he kissed you and you kissed him and you felt his heart beat but that doesnt mean anything. (she was in 2 minds) but it does to me, those things were special those things were magical . but i guess this is only for me not for him. For him all this is totally normal. 

Meanwhile back in Arnav's room he was shocked about what happened down. Still trying to take in the incident he didnt know how to react getting engaged to La. could he really see himself spending his life with La and after all this would he be able to face khushi. He had to admit he felt that magic too he felt that spark too. and for a second he wished it was not la but khushi who he was getting engaged to a smile came on his face. until he realized 

Arnav: getting engaged to khushi what is wrong with me. (he said) khushi and me getting married how can i even think of something like that (he spoke out aloud)

He felt a small shake on his shoulders when he looked he saw Aarti standing in front of him. he straightened himself and said 

Arnav: what is it 

Aarti: (looked at him annoyed) i am angry with you 

Arnav: what do you mean (he asked confused)

Aarti: how could you do something like this mamma (she folded her arms and arched her eye brows)

Arnav raised his eye brows too at his angry niece not knowing why she is angry 

Arnav: Aarti what happened 

Aarti :(slapped her head and said) do i have to do everything. mamma how could you get engaged to La 

Arnav: i dont know (he asked confused and then said) do you not like her 

Aarti: mamma what difference does it make if i like her. the point is that do you like her 

Arnav: What the !!

Aarti: oh dont what the me ok. i know you dont love her you love some one else 

Arnav: (raised his eye brows and said) really who (he folded his arms)

Aarti: Khushi didi off course (she screamed out at him)

Arnav was stunned not knowing what to say to her. how does she know he loves khushi. wait a minuite he loves khushi he asked himself looking confused and Aarti spoke

Aarti: you love her and thats why your thinking of marrying her. she is your princess and you are her prince. thats why she makes your heart beat (she picked up his hand and put it on his heart which was beating. Arnav staired bak at her with utmost shock) do you know how much time it took me to get the two of you to get locked in the store room so you two could spend some time together (she spoke angrily)

Arnav: (snapped out of it and then said) you locked us in the store room ?? 

Aarti: (bit her tongue not realizing she had spilt the beans, then she conveenantly changed the topic and said in an angry voice) thats not the point. the point is that you love khushi didi and when she kissed you. you loved it then how could you marry la 

Arnav: Aarti i dont know what your talking about

Aarti: oh really mamma remember all the times you spent with her and then tell me what you feel 

Arnav: had a flash back at this point remembering every moment he spent with khushi right from the day she walked into his life the first time he saw her. The first time he faught with her the time she challenged him he remembering pulling her up time and again to his chest how her breast lay perfectly on his chest. Things started coming into place. The fact that he thought of her every time she wasnt around. he remembered talking to his di about it he remembered every single thing their kiss how magical it was he remembered her feeling his heart feeling complete and then in an instant he said 

Arnav: i love her (he said in his dreaming.)

Aarti looked at him back he looked back at her and then a smile came across his face and he said 

Arnav: i love her i actually love her 

he smiled and held Aarti's shoulders, Aarti looked confused. the wind blew in and Arnav couldnt help but feel his heart pund to this new feeling to this new and wonderful feeling the feeling of love of being in love. He hugged Aarti and said once more 

Arnav: i love her Aarti i love her and only her i love khushi. 

Aarti: yes mamma thats exactly what i am saying you love her 

Arnav: (let go of her and said) yeah i do. but does she love me 

Aarti: off corse she does (she slapped her head again) thats why she was crying when she heard the news do you know how jelouse she is of la  

Arnav smiled remembering her crying for him. it was cute he had to admit he was sad she was crying but then the thought of her crying for him was just too cute.

Aarti: then why are you marrying La

Arnav: (looked back her with his excitement all gone and said) i dont know i never said yes to la she just thought i said yes

Aarti: (replicated him) What the 

Arnav rolled his eyes and then said 

Arnav: shit shit how could i do this how could i let this happen. (realizing the situation he said)

Aarti: what are we going to do now mamma (she asked a bit sad)

Arnav: (looked down at her and then said) dont worry your mamma is going to get his princess back 

She hugged him tightly and he carried her and took her off to bed.
